Is the Xi Eta Mu organization accredited/licensed/truly incorporated?
XI Eta Mu Sorority Inc. is a nonprofit org designated by the IRS since August 1st of 2021. The organization is also licensed to solicit services as a 501c3 corporation. The tax ID number is 87-2007827.
Do I need to provide proof of enrollment (school)?
Yes, Transcripts and/or proof of diploma/degree/certificate/licensure must be submitted within 2-3 weeks of membership acceptance if not provided at the time of new member enrollment.
Are these documents to be official?
No, at this time, an unofficial transcript on a company letterhead and/or proof of degree, licensure or certification, are required. Should official transcripts be requested, you will be contacted directly.
What are the membership costs?
Any applicable fees or dues are discussed at interest events and are available via payment plan on a case by case basis and are affordable.
Is Xi Mu a traditional sorority like that of other organizations?
No. Xi Mu is a respected and Dedicated Online Virtual Sorority (DOVS), specifically established for online virtual students. We are non-discriminant, offering memberships to students furthering their education online as well as previously earned credentials including collegiate earned, certificates, licensures and technical diploma's.
I have a high school diploma. Do I qualify for membership? What if I plan to go back to school?
Yes. Members are required to obtain a verifiable credential within 1 calendar year of their membership start date. A high school diploma is required at minimum.
I am currently enrolled in school. Am I eligible to join?
Yes. You may join and will be required to show valid proof of continuous enrollment. You will be assigned a Mentor if need be while enrolled, to help maintain your course plan.
